I wanted to do a follow up post to my very early ones about some of my favourite things to wear for sex work. I could have deleted those posts (not just because they are dated) celebrating my black corset, red body suit, white lingerie and red satin corset but I wanted to keep the posts live because when you are starting out at sex work, you may not have the budget for expensive lingerie, but you still do what you can to embody the persona you want to put out there as your sex work identity and have fun with what you have on hand or can afford (when you haven’t really started earning well yet).
Sometimes this is about fusing your own fantasy of what it means to be a sex worker and also wearing items you do not have any cause to wear in your non-sex work environment. How wonderful to play the tart! (“That’s the last time I play the tart for you, Jerry.” – Margo Leadbetter)
I moved on from the earlier expressions of someone in an old-fashioned bordello, to someone a bit racier and haven’t worn those early looks since. I don’t really think you can go back.
I then moved on to more animal print and fringed dresses like the 1920s fringed flapper dresses they wore to the Speakeasies. I still wear the animal print dress (it is often requested) and have the boots on my shelf in my boudoir – they are mainly tried on by cross-dressing guests with small feet (for a man) as I’m a ladies shoe size Euro 40.
You can see me dancing in my fringed dress in this video here (YouTube safety restrictions mean you need to be logged in).
Imagine my surprise when I saw two of my favourite slutty milf “looks” in the recent Marlon Williams video (see the stills above) for his song Don’t Go Back. What a stroke of luck. His backing singers rock the flapper dress perfectly with just the right attitude and their animal print lycra party ensembles pair perfectly with the singer’s cub onesie.
And, coincidentally, like my animal print image above, they are also in a hallway, albeit a dark one. I’m not saying that this is anything more than a coincidence, I’m just pleased that I chose such a universally acknowledged bad girl look for my Amber O’Hara self. If I’d have known about the music video for Don’t Go Back, I could’ve lent them my boots. Or maybe, too much?
Anyway, I have new pretties and lingerie that I use to be photographed in nowadays and to wear to greet my clients before we disrobe. I still enjoy being photographed with a mirror to use two angles. I hope to post something soon.
In the meantime, enjoy this fabulous video below and appreciate the humour of the mature temptress trope.
